MA501 MÄRKLIN 315/2 + 305/1 RAILWAY CRANE AND WAGON
Refurbished railway crane dating from the 1950s. According to Kolls Preiskatalog, the type of coupler identifies it as version 1 (1956), yet the decal ‘Krupp Ardelt’ on the cab dates it to version 3 (1958). May be, it has once had parts exchanged, or it was made up of old and new batch parts in the factory.
The original flaking paint has been preserved with layers of clear matt varnish, giving it a rather weathered appearance. The hook is a modern version, as it ought to have a ball hook.
The 305/2 bolster wagon is the earliest version with the stump axles, dating it to between 1951 and 1955.
NOTES
- Pulley disc is missing from the jib
- Packaged together in a custom made box
- Age-related patina
